Alpine Air Purifier, now widely known and referred to as the Living Air Purifier came into existence over 20 years ago, when a talented scientist and engineer William J. Converse - its inventor - has created the very first unit in his basement. The original idea came to him from studying different air purification devices on the market at the time and not finding a single unit, which could effectively eliminate indoor air pollution that was already taking roots in homes as a result of the 1970's US energy crisis among other factors. After successfully testing his first unit and generating great results, Mr. Converse has founded Alpine Industries, Inc. in 1986, which later expanded, and in the process evolved to EcoQuest International on January 12, 2000, where EcoQuest International is now a separate independent company, holding exclusive marketing rights to all of Alpine Industries' products, in addition to doing their own unique research and development.
